I was searching for the new Dark Knight trailer on Apple.com, when I came across the Return to Dark Castle 3 demo download.

I played Dark Castle as a kid, at the homes of my mates who owned Mac Pluses. We’re talking mid to late 80s. This was a great game.

Years ago, I heard that someone was doing a colour version for OS X. I completely forgot about it, but I’m happy to announce that the game did in fact get made.

The demo looks and plays great, just like the old Dark Castle. And aside from the stupid name (Return to Dark Castle 3?? - the only two games were Dark Castle and Beyond Dark Castle) and the fact that they’re probably going to try to sell it for US$30 when GTA IV sells for US$64, aside from those things, the demo is definitely worth a look.

Don’t buy it though.
