The Bridge

My next sermon for FOCUS is on the Trinity.

To get things rolling, I thought I’d post this video, which is a dramatised version of a very famous sermon illustration called ‘The Bridge’.
For those of you who are Christians, just the title probably gives away what this illustration is about.
Enjoy.
A question then:
- Is this a good illustration of what the Father has done for us in Jesus?

That’s a very ambiguous comment, Mike - which is good at this stage!

Hi Ben, what did the sign that the child saw mean? And what did he do after seeing the sign?
Hi Edi. I don’t think the sign means anything, but I could be wrong. I think the boy sees the train coming and wants to lower the bridge or something, but falls into the workings.
In the ‘original’ story, the boy is playing on the gears of the bridge and then the father sees the train coming.
