Re-Conversion and Suffering

Some great content in the tubes this morning.
MJ points out A N Wilson’s startling return to Christian faith, after years of avowed atheism. Read two articles by Wilson on Christianity, one regarding his conversion to atheism and his ’slip’ back into Christianity, and the other quite an aggressive apologetic about Easter and belief.
Also, check out this video of a dialogue meeting, where we see an atheist explain his materialist take on suffering. Christians are often put off balance by the ‘problem of evil’, but if A N Wilson is right, it’s a much, much bigger problem for atheists.
The video was obviously taken during a dialogue meeting, evidently between some Christians and a group of atheists. The mood is light and good-natured, and the guy asking the questions (and others) are really on the ball.
I don’t want to take his response as representative of all atheists; there may be much better answers to the question of evil than “shit happens”, and I’d love to hear from some atheists on that.
