The Legacy of the Soviet Union

We’re celebrating the fall of the Berlin Wall this week. Praise God for the end of the East Germany and the USSR.
It’s worth remembering that millions of people are still affected by the spectacular failure of communism there, and the atheistic evil done in the name of the people.
This week’s Boston Big Picture displays photos from Kazakhstan, where the Soviet government test detonated hundreds of nuclear weapons. The effects of radioactivity in the area are still felt.
The series starts with a deformed boy, abandoned by his parents. The pictures that actually made me cry were the ones of parents who kept their children, and continue to look after them in very difficult circumstances.
