Google Calendar

You could run your whole church off Google apps, I reckon. Docs, Calendar, Groups, Gmail. It’s all very tidy. There’s just that security issue, you know?
Google Calendar is cool, though. I’ve just set up a draft calendar for our church, Gereja Kristen Pelita. Church members can view the calendar online, on the GKP site when [...]

Engage Program

They have the program available on the website in .ics format for iCal, so you can download the time straight into your calendar app (on Mac).
I love when people do this kind of thing—they could easily not do it, but someone pushes it anyway.

Hacking the Olympic Website

There’s some sort of major sporting event kicking off tonight (Teak—write something acerbic, will you please),
Apparently, someone hacked the official Olympics site, although I haven’t found any screenshots of what they did (make headlines orange. Wow—don’t hold back, guys.)
Now it looks like the Chinese (or someone) has hacked the protest site associated with the [...]

Bookmarks

There was a problem with the links thing in our sidebar, but I think I’ve fixed it.
In case you didn’t know, we use Delicious, which has just revamped it’s website and system. Heaps better. Even with all the fancy bookmarking features in Firefox 3, I still use Delicious for everything. It’s fantastic.

Again… no.

Games 4 baby

Rainy days call for creativity when amusing a toddler. The park is not an option.
Like her father, Cordie loves a bit of computer game action, so I’m on the hunt for free games. Since Ben’s copy of Call of Duty 4 is not what you’d call “age appropriate”, I’ve been sampling the web. My [...]

Download Day 2008

Mozilla (creators of Firefox) are planning to attempt to break the record for the most downloaded software in 24hours. The attempt will be made when Firefox 3 is released sometime in June, and they’re asking for ‘pledges’ (weird) from people, that they’ll download the software when it comes out.

The Psalms & Biblical Poetry

I’m doing an essay on Psalms over the next couple of months, which hopefully I’ll get to posting about at some stage.
In the mean time, I’d like to recommend two books. The first is the sequel to one of the best books on the Bible I’ve ever read. The first one was The Art of [...]
